Christian Leaders' Hui: One Gospel, Many Voices

Reverend Dr Stuart Lang of New Zealand Christian Network previews the organisation's triennial gathering of Christian leaders, held this year on 17-18 November in Wellington. He explains the hui (not a conference) brings together denominational heads, pastors, elders and ministry leaders from across the theological spectrum to pray, worship and discuss vision and strategy for re-evangelising Aotearoa.

Dr Lang highlights sessions on reaching a multicultural society, engaging Māori afresh with the gospel, church planting and discipling, alongside panels sharing "state of the nation" statistics and practical wins from ministries already gaining traction. He stresses the event is less about politics and more about ongoing Christian influence in society beyond the ballot box, built on unity in the gospel across denominations rather than institutional merger, with limited round-table seating requiring quick registration ([www.christiannetwork.org.nz](https://www.christiannetwork.org.nz)).
