Holiday Memories from Gore

We chat with Joanna about her childhood school holidays spent visiting grandparents in Gore. She recalls taking exciting train trips from Dunedin, riding bikes with neighbourhood kids, and buying three-for-one cent lollies at the local dairy.

Looking back, Joanna appreciates memories like cramming six people into a Hillman Hunter for fruit-picking road trips to Central Otago. Though her parents weren't Christians, she recognises how her Christian grandparents' grace and patience allowed them to lovingly host the family almost every holiday.
