Ahead of Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori, Andrew chats with Te Karere from Te Wānanga Ihorangi at Laidlaw about an exciting new partnership with Rhema Media: a daily "Word for You Today" devotion now available in written and recorded Te Reo Māori, launching Monday. They discuss the rich history of Māori Bible translation since 1868, the challenges of honouring both language and original scriptural concepts, and shout out the dedicated team behind the mahi, including students, scholars, and voice talent.

Looking ahead, they tease an even bigger upcoming project - a full Māori-language version of Lectio 365 featuring devotionals, waiata, poems and metaphors drawn from a Māori worldview, set to take a year to produce. Te Karere closes with an invitation for all Kiwis, Māori and non-Māori alike, to celebrate Te Reo Māori next week as part of the shared language and history of the Church in Aotearoa.

Tune into Rhema Breakfast from 6:00am - 10:00am on the Rhema Media App.
