What Job Teaches Us About Our God Pt. 3

Chuck Swindoll concludes his study of Job by examining God's response to Job's suffering—not with explanations, but with a revelation of His own power and majesty. Swindoll draws seven truths from Job's humble response in chapter 42, including that nothing is beyond God's power, His purposes cannot be thwarted, and His plans are too deep for us to fully grasp, yet through submission we find rest.

Swindoll highlights God's justice toward Job's friends and His lavish, undeserved grace in restoring Job's fortunes twofold, emphasising that blessing is not earned but freely given. He closes with the picture of Job living to old age, free from bitterness, illustrating how only God can grant that kind of freedom and peace in life's final years, inviting listeners to trust God fully despite unanswered questions.
