When The Interview Doesn't Go To Plan

Andrew Urquhart chats with Lizzie Oakes, host of the Where Do You Find God podcast, about a technical mishap during her much-anticipated interview with Paul Young, author of The Shack, whose new book Return to the Shack marks twenty years since the original bestseller.

Ms Oakes recounts how a failed video call left her praying a simple "Jesus, please help me" before Young rang her mobile directly, turning an awkward hitch into a warm icebreaker ahead of their full interview. She reflects on how spiritual growth often comes not from flawless plans but from how we respond when things fall apart, teasing a forthcoming TV special episode of the podcast featuring the full conversation with Young.
