While increased efficiency and less bureaucracy sounds like great news, there's a caution about how this is being achieved.

Commenting on the 9000 job-cuts planned for the public sector over the next three years, Maxim Institute analyst Thomas Scrimgeour agrees the taxpayer saves with a downsized government. However he warns against abdicating critical judgement to AI, especially in one of the target areas of social welfare criteria checks, where human intervention is vital.
